Excellent :) I'm headed there tomorrow with my camera. I'll be picking up the gorillapod SLR on recommendation as well.

It really is an amazing place. I've been to more than 40 countries so far, and Tokyo is still the coolest city I've visted (by far). I've been there 5 or 6 times now and still manage to find a dozen new reasons to love it every time I go.

Over the last 15 years, I've been to Tokyo 9 or 10 times. It's just awesome. I can give this advice to any visual artist: go to Tokyo as often as you need real inspiration. It will be fueled by the overwhelming visual overload of this megalopolis.

Almost feels like a different planet.

Yeah, Tokyo is not a bad place to visit, I go there every couple of months for work and play. You will like the Golden Gai area of Shinuku, lots of cools bars there.

I prefer Osaka, been here for 19 years, you ought to come and check it out down here, I can show you the other side of Japan that tourist never see. I also got a 5D MII and loving it. Cool blog, thanks for the updates.

Awesome- yeah if you are a fan of gadgetry, Blade Runner, sushi or any of the three- Tokyo is nirvana.
