fxguide podcast

It's up! If you can't get enough of this linear stuff, check out my interview (download .mp3 link) on fxguide's awesome podcast. There's a great article that sums it up nicely as well.

I've also allowed fxguide to mirror my linear-light in AE7 workflow articles in hopes that they reach more people. ProLost is still the place to get the latest and greatest ramblings though.

Thanks very much to John Montgomery and everyone at fxguide for having me on the show. I've mentioned before that I'm a huge fan of the podcast (iTunes link), and it's an honor to be a part of it.

Maybe with all this I can finally shut up about this linear crap for a while!

That's great, thanks for all your efforts on this subject. 32 bit's the most interesting aspect of AE7 to me but I really need to expand my knowledge. Is there any chance of re-posting the movies you had explaining how to use eLin? I didn't have a use for it then and I guess eLin's days are over but they vividly explained why 32bit is great in an artistic sense rather than the usual dry techie explanation. I wish I'd saved them at the time.

Please keep up the "linear crap" if you can stand it!

I have an AE7 update of the "LA Day" eLin demo, and it is on my to-do create a screen capture tutorial for it. I'm not sure when I'll have the time, but I would like to do it. Comments like yours are very encoraging, so thanks!

Great interview!

Concerning the eLin demo movies, the links at RedGiant don't work anymore. I was going to look at the LA Day movie again to figure out how to use 8-bit sources and to do levels adjustments, but the movies are gone. Any chance they can be reposted?

Just to add: Tim Burtons "The Corpse Bride" was all shot on Canon EOS-1D Mark II's, using Nikon still lenses.
