You can hear me ramble on about The Guide on the current episode of the Filmmaking Central Podcast, which is an excellent resource for filmmakers at any budget level.

Stu. You're referring to your self in the 3rd person. You're scaring me.
But WTF. As long as the book actually ships on the 26th, you can be as schizo as Travis Bickle for all I care.

PS - the FMC podcast was great! Plug that puppy for all its worth... ;)
Thanks for keeping me honest Bruce. Glad you dug the podcast -- I'm a fan of Dave's show and it was a blast to be on it!
I mean, STU is a fan of Dave's show...
Stu that podcast sold me. I went over to amazon and bought the book. As a firstime African filmmaker your background college story and passion to create your own films on your own terms truly and deeply inspired me. The podcast's detailed explanation of the books content is what many low budget filmmakers have been waiting for. I know this book is written by a filmmaker not a videographer, very big difference. Thanks a lot.

Danny, you just made my day. If you ever find yourself in the Bay Area let me know, I'd be honored to sign that puppy for ya.
Hey Stu, that was a fantastic podcast. Your verbal descriptions really told me much more about the book. I'm really looking forward to it arriving. Thanks.
So what is "The Green Project"? Did you get into any lack-of-filming-permit close calls on the streets of Chinatown? Did the SFPD put out an APB on you? ;-)
Thanks,
-John
Thanks johns! The Green Project is a "code name" for a project I shot butnever finished. My actors ran through a crowded Chinatown festival carrying green plastic guns. In post, I color-corrected the guns black. The Guide comes with some raw material from this shoot which you use in the onlining and color correction tutorials. I'll blog more about that part of the book, because it's pretty cool.
Thanks again for the kind words!
hey stu, thanks for the shoutout. wrapping your techniques into scripts was a fun project. best of success with the book.
have a wonderful holiday!

mmm...taco. :-)
AAAAHHH...I Like...AHHH...Tacos...Ahhh
Stu I can't wait for the book... I'm all about overnight delivery! I thought I'd let you know that some dude out here whose animated feature film premiere's at Sundance Jan 19th is going to be using Colorista and the mad info in your forthcoming book to color correct and online his 1080p weirdo masterpiece :) I'm still a little confused about the whole process but I know once I have your book in my hands on the 27th I'll have it all worked out. Mega thanks!!
