Systematic 43

Put my talking in your ear holes!

I had the great pleasure of joining Brett Terpstra on his Systematic podcast yesterday. We talked about Slugline, sucking at things, and cocktails. It was a really cool conversation that I think you’ll enjoy.

Also, Brett somehow tricked me into revealing my opinion on FCP X.

Speaking of podcasts, Clint and I were recently on Kanen Flowers’s Scruffy Thinking show, talking about the launch of Slugline.

I like FCPx - coming from Premiere Pro it felt refreshing. I guess the FCP team have been aggressively updating to accommodate traditional editing styles & yes, it does seem that Adobe has taken a lot of inspiration from it in their latest version of Premiere.

Anyways, I enjoy the dance back & forth between the two as they have a slightly different paradigm. If you'd have told me a couple years ago that my main 'station' would be an Imac/thunderbolt with FCP I'd have said you were smoking something....but here we are :)

Oh & Stu! - thanks for the word "auto-didactic"...I had to look it up but once I did, a little bit of personal enlightenment took place ;)
