Rebel's Guide on TWiM

I had the great pleasure of joining the This Week in Media crew on their excellent podcast today. The episode goes live in the next couple of days.

If you're reading this blog but not listening to TWiM, you are missing out. It's the best conversation going on the radical changes in media that are happening right under our noses. To get a taste, dig back in their archives to TWiM 16, which stands to this day as the best recorded summary of the perenial "film vs. video" question.

I'm thrilled to be on the show. We talked about The Guide, Colorista, Red, and a couple other things.

Hey Stu! We just bought your book and are hoping to use it to improve the special effects on our show Galacticast. Thanks for writing about EXACTLY what we need to know.

Best,
Casey

Hey Stu,
i'm looking forward to hearing that that Podcast. i have my book and am very excited to get into it. i have only read the beginning intro and have already ordered 5 more books for the rest of my movie making crew.

we want to make great stuff cheap, not cheap stuff-and already-from your blog and what was in your commentary (i watched all the dvd already). I know you are really going to help us. i saw the Last Birthday Card many years ago on the net-i was really inspired by it then-and it still holds up today.

I think the stuff in the book is going to help out much more than just "Action" movies-as i looked through it. I teach workshops for Media Directors and volunteers from churches all over the country, and i ordered your book for our bookstore in the resources section (right next to the AE 7 Studio Secrets Book-which we sold out last time). I'll bet that is a venue you never expected to reach. No kickbacks needed, just hope it makes it feel that much more appreciated! the autographed copy i'm hoping to get some time would be very cool though. : )

i sure could have used the book a week ago-darn that Amazon (i ordered in Sept.) We are doing "24" themes right now and i had to shoot a fight scene. it turned out okay, but i'll bet it could have been a lot better had i had been able to read your book first.

thanks again for all the hard work. it pays off far more than you'll ever know. we have over 6000 people see our videos every week Live in HD-and who knows how many more over the net. Guys like you help us to not stink-well...stink as bad. : )
